To minimise discomfort:

• Introduce slowly – build up tolerance with original Youth Potion first, or stagger usage from 1–2 times a week and gradually increase to daily use.
• Avoid layering with other strong exfoliating acids.
• Focus on hydration and barrier support.
  Use SPF daily.

If irritation persists, pause use and reintroduce gradually.

Because this formula contains our highest-strength natural retinal and 7x more potent actives than our original Youth Potion, if you are new to vitamin A/retinal, we recommend finishing two full-size bottles of the original Youth Potion first.

Vitamin A derivatives work deeply within the skin. Industry-wide guidance advises that individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid vitamin A products, including retinal. Please consult your GP or healthcare provider before using Youth Potion.

Retinal increases cell turnover and can make the skin more sensitive to UV exposure. When your skin is renewing more quickly, the fresh new cells are more vulnerable to sun damage, even if you apply retinal only at night.

Using a high-protection SPF 50 each morning helps prevent the risk of UV-induced ageing, pigmentation, and irritation.

We recommend avoiding retinol, retinal, and other advanced exfoliating actives for a week before and 2 weeks after any invasive or advanced facial treatment such as laser procedures, waxing, or chemical peels.

For micro-needling, these ingredients should be avoided for 2 weeks before and after treatment. After the recommended downtime, you can gradually reintroduce these actives to support ongoing skin results.
