At Tropic, we’re committed to being a force for good beyond beauty, in everything we do – from sustainably sourcing our ingredients and never testing on animals, to planting thousands of trees and funding education with every purchase. And 2021 was no exception!

We wanted to take this opportunity to share all of the highlights, developments and lessons that 2021 had in store for us by publishing our very first inaugural Stakeholder Report, which you can read here! 

Of course, none of these achievements would have been possible without you, our amazing customers and Ambassadors. Thank you for helping us to create a healthier, greener, more empowered world.

Don’t have time to read it all? Don’t worry! Here’s a quick rundown of chapter 2021 in our Tropic tale:

  • We won 44 awards in 2021, including ‘Best Cruelty Free Brand’ at Marie Claire’s first-ever Sustainability Awards and ‘Best Carbon Neutral Brand’ at this year’s Glamour Beauty Power List Awards.

  • We funded a year’s worth of education for over 12,000 children and supported 207 schools for a year.

  • We were thrilled to see some of our Tropic treats gain COSMOS certification from the Soil Association.

  • We marked four years as a certified CarbonNeutral® company and double offset all our emissions (again!).

  • We scored 100/100 on the Good Shopping Guide’s Ethical Accreditation Index.

  • We became Made in Britain certified.

  • We joined forces with Provenance – a sustainability platform that independently approves any claims we make about the impact of our products.

  • We donated £150,000 to the Trussell Trust, funding 25 UK food banks for an entire year.

  • We joined forces with Forestry England to plant and care for a forest of 7,000 trees in Queen Elizabeth Country Park.

  • We continued to support good causes including the Winnie Mabaso Foundation, Reef Restoration Foundation, Young Women’s Trust, and many more.
