Are you ready to recreate the effortless, sun-kissed beauty of summer holidays gone by? With bronzed eyes that conjure up Havana heat and an iridescent highlighter to catch the light, this look will whisk you straight back to elegant cocktails on the terrace.
We worked with makeup artist, Rebecca Barnes, to bring you this tutorial. Alongside your base essentials and tools, you can recreate this look, demonstrated here on Carole, with our customisable, sustainable Colour Palette.
“Way To Glow Cream Highlighter is perfect for slightly more mature skin because it doesn't settle into any natural fine lines and creases. Your finger is the best applicator because the warmth of your body heat naturally softens the product, making it blend into the skin seamlessly for a natural, highlighted look.”
STEP BY STEP GUIDE
Want flawless foundation? Apply Beauty Booster and use your Beauty Drop Sponge to buff out from the centre of your face with light, tapping motions. Make the sponge slightly damp for a more natural, even, and blended finish. With the pointy end of your sponge, apply the Illuma Light Concealer, under the eyes.
For a sunset eye look, buff a little Jet Set through the crease, using the fluffy side of your Eye Shadow Brush. Then, pack Eyes On You in Copper across the lid using the pointed side of the brush to blow the two shades together and add warmth. Finally, use the same end of the Eye Shadow Brush to wash Jet Set along the bottom lash line.
Using the angled brush head of the 3in1 Eye Brush, brush Brow Boss through your arches to define and accentuate. Then, apply Silk Gel Liner in Ebony to your upper lash line. Buff out the eyeliner with the pointed end of the eyeshadow brush to add definition and elongate the eyes into a feline shape. Finish with a coat of Fixing Gel Mascara, followed with a layer of Extension Fibres for extra definition and finalise with another coat of Fixing Gel Mascara to set it in place
In the inner corners of the eyes, add a touch of Way To Glow – dabbing it on with your fingertips to softly diffuse the light.
Using the same highlighter – which has beautiful iridescent, nude highlights – pat it along the higher points of your face, like the cheekbones and bridge of your nose, using your fingertips.
Swirl your Precision Face Brush through the Jet Set and sweep it across the cheeks, temples and lower jawline. Using the same brush, pop a little bit of Blush Crush on the apples of your cheeks, before brushing a touch of the excess powder across the bridge of the nose for a natural, sun-kissed look. Finally, use your Kabuki Brush to lightly dust Soft Focus over your T-zone to set and mattify.
For effortlessly kissable lips, add some fullness by slightly over-lining your lips with the Line Up Lip Pencil in Flirt. Then, add a coat of Kiss Me Quick in Nude Blush for the final touch of elegance.
